HVAR HALF MARATHON

Hvar Island is known for its beauty, culture, lavender, tourism, nightlife, and this Saturday, on August 24th, it will host the 3rd International Hvar Half Marathon and show off its versatility.

There are already 142 registered runners from all over the world.

Start is in Stari Grad, on Petar Hektorović Square at 5,30 pm. Runners will be running along the old road to town of Hvar (For), including a challenging 400 metre elevation in the early stages of the race. This route is definitely one of the most beautiful, for the scenery is just fantastic and when combined with the joy of running, it leads to an intoxicating experience. Whatch the video:

The road was built in Napoleon times, ascending and descending through Hvar fields and villages with amazing views of nearby islands. Our Sunčani team will be represented by our HR director, Branimir Blajić and our Director of Operations, Ivan Safundžić. We wish them 22 kilometres of fun!

The race motto sums it up nicely – FOR RUN FOR FUN – have fun with a run, or have a run with fun, or just have a run – because having fun is guaranteed on the island of Hvar.
