1) 'Following the Cross' Procession
'Following the cross' procession is a tradition that has been followed on Hvar for the past 500 years. This ritual has actually placed Hvar on UNESCO's list of intangible global cultural heritage. The procession symbolizes the way of the cross and begins on Good Thursday and goes until the early morning of Good Friday. It begins from all 6 of Hvar's towns (Jelsa, Pitve, Vrisnik, Svirče, Vrbanj, and Vrboska) at the same time and is led by cross-bearers. During the procession, hymns and prayers can be heard.
2) St. Stephen's Cathedral Mass
On Easter Sunday, visit St. Stephen's cathedral for mass.
